About us

In 1980 we opened up an interesting business to service the VHS world of video that was just starting to show up in people’s homes. Our company was called Slifer Video-Cable or SVC and we   started out transferring Home Movies to VHS tape.

Within five years we were servicing over 200 video and photo stores in the Greater Boston area as well as a clientele that wanted top quality productions for the transferring of their films and videotapes.

In 1990 we added Corporate and Small business clients to our substantial consumer customers. We also started our Event Production business to produce family events and corporate promotional videos.

As the world of video morphed into Hi8, Betacam, DVCAM and DVD we continued to be the company that New England customers came to regard as the place to have their videos and film transferred.

In 1995 we expanded into the production of producing family interviews and Biography Stories.

Now almost 30 years since we produced our first film to video transfer we are expanding again with the opening of our national facility of The Biography Authority. The Biography Authority is your video production facility to capture and preserve all of your memories.

We may have grown and prospered over the last 30 years yet our basic philosophy of keeping you satisfied with your production needs is still the same. We work one on one with you on all your Biography and Transfer needs.
